SOFTWARE & SCRIPTURE

Clear about the code. Careful with the Word.

Software licensing and permission to use Bible text are separate things.

The application

OpenMico is proprietary software, licensed to you under the Terms of Service rather than sold. That licence covers the application itself; it does not grant rights to Bible translations, song lyrics or other imported content.

Supported translations

The build fetches KJV and World English Bible. The app also offers a download catalogue of historical editions, including ASV, AKJV, YLT, WBT, BBE, Douay-Rheims, Tyndale, Wycliffe, Weymouth New Testament, Martin 1744, Sagradas Escrituras 1569 and Elberfelder 1871. Weymouth contains the New Testament only.

A translation appearing in the application is a technical capability, not a blanket permission for every use or territory. Consult the edition’s source and rights holder for applicable notices and conditions.

Bring your own Bible licence

NKJV, NLT, NIV and ESV can be imported from a user-supplied file. OpenMico does not supply their text or claim their rights. Only import, display or broadcast content where your permissions cover those activities. Importing a file does not grant a licence.

Churches, ministries & commercial use

Before projection, streaming, recording or distribution, confirm that your permissions cover the specific text and intended use. A song licence should not be assumed to cover Bible translations. Keep any required attribution with the content.

Publisher enquiries

The project does not announce publisher partnerships or sell translation licences on this website. Use the enquiry option below when a project contact is available; translation permissions come from the relevant rights holder.
